South Korea's presidential office said on Monday trade talks with the United States included discussions on increasing defence spending and US weapons purchase, reported Reuters

The presidential office also said US demands covered agriculture and livestock, and South Korea was trying to minimise concessions, said Woo Sang-ho, presidential secretary for political affairs.
