By: US beef variety meat exports reached 25,314 metric tons in April, up 20% from a year ago, with value climbing 40% to $114.7 million, according to the US Meat Export Federation. It was the seventh consecutive month that beef variety meat export value topped $100 million, though volumes were down from the record totals posted in March.
Through April, variety meat exports increased 16% to 105,968 mt, valued at $482.3 million, with growth led by Japan, Mexico, Korea, South Africa, Peru and Vietnam.
