Poland allows movement of Ukraine agricultural goods
Ban of direct imports of poultry, meat, grains maintained

By: According to a recent US Department of Agriculture GAIN report, Poland introduced an entry ban on certain agri-food products from Ukraine on April 15, 2023, amid difficult economic situation of famers on a domestic market.
Following intensive negotiations with the Ukrainian side, since April 21, 2023, transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through the Polish territory is allowed, while the import ban on agri-food goods from Ukraine is maintained until June 30, 2023. In order to guarantee that the transited goods will not be unloaded in Poland, a special monitoring system is to be implemented on shipments of grains, eggs, poultry meat and apiculture products.
The new provisions maintain the ban on the import into Poland from Ukraine of grains, sugar, dried fodder, seeds, hops, flax and hemp, fruits and vegetables and processed fruit and vegetable products, wine, beef and veal, milk and dairy products, pork, mutton and goat meat, eggs, poultry meat, ethyl alcohol, apiculture products, and "other products" (including oilseeds).
