The global market for feeding systems is set to grow from $3.46 billion in 2025 to $5.10 billion by 2030, according to a new report by MarketsandMarkets. This represents a compound annual growth rate of 8.1%, driven by rising demand for automated, sustainable livestock feeding technologies.

Automation is reshaping livestock production, with mixing systems expected to capture a significant share of the market. These systems ensure consistent feed quality and precise nutrient delivery, which is particularly important for sensitive animals like goats.

Self-propelled and self-loading mixers are gaining popularity for their efficiency and ability to reduce feed waste.

Poultry remains the fastest-growing livestock segment, supported by global demand for poultry meat and improvements in feeding technologies. Systems such as automatic pan feeders and chain feeders are helping poultry producers optimise feed use while improving productivity and environmental performance.

North America is projected to lead the market by 2030, as producers adopt high-tech systems to boost output and meet consumer expectations for animal welfare. Over the past three decades, the region has seen a steady shift from conventional to automated feeding technologies, backed by falling costs and rising efficiency.
