China Vaccinates Livestock against FMD in Tibet
CHINA - The Chinese veterinary authorities, in conjunction with the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), has reported that all livestock in Tibet have been vaccinated against foot and mouth disease (FMD).![](http://fs-1.5mpublishing.com/templates/oie.gif)
No further outbreaks of foot and mouth disease have been reported.
According to follow-up report no. 10 sent to the OIE, a total of 1124 pigs and 51345 cattle have been vaccinated.
The report also states that the virus sub-type has been identified as SEA 97 G2. However, the source of the outbreaks has not yet been determined.
