Mexican Beef Step Closer to Chinese Market

MEXICO - Agricultural sector ambitions have received a boost in signing a protocol for the entry of beef products into the Chinese market.

Chinese animal heath technicians evaluated Mexican veterinary practise from 29 November to 6 December, the Secretariat for Livestock, Agriculture, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA) has announced. 

The ministry body concluded that the tour nurtured common understanding of respective biosecurity standards. 

Six officials covering, quarantine and general disease, were headed by Liang Jiangzong, director of inspection and quarantine. 

SAGARPA expects China to issue a report on the visit soon, allowing Mexico to work to a solution to allow exports into China.
