Foot and Mouth Treatments Given Two Week Extension

06 December 2013

BOLIVIA – National foot and mouth disease (FMD) vaccinations have been extended until 15 December, the National Agricultural Health and Food Safety Association has announced.

The two week extension has been justified due to national progress currently calculated at 69 per cent, well adrift of the 95 per cent coverage target.

An application to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) to have FMD status renewed is expected in May.
