Approval has been extended to bone-in beef products from cattle under 30 months and boneless beef from cattle of all ages, the USDA has reported.

All Shipments must be accompanied with FSIS health certificates.

Hong Kong, the main source of Macao beef products, opened its markets to under 30 months bone-in beef products and any age boneless products in February.

A USDA spokesperson said: “Macau traders generally obtain U.S. beef shipments via Hong Kong and while there continues to be no official protocol between Macau and FSIS to issue health certificates directly for the Special Administrative Region, Macau accepts shipments accompanied by FSIS health certificates issued for Hong Kong.”
