Farmers with cattle without valid pre-movement tests are now faced with two possibilities when at market. They can either return the animal to the holding from which they travelled or directly to slaughter, reports the dailypost.

Additionally, alterations are due for movement exemptions between holdings and common grazing land.

This means that cattle will only make exempt movements between farm and land where the farmer holds grazing rights.

The changes are based on latest guidance from Europe’s Food and Veterinary Office, said Natural resources minister, Alun Davies.
