According to reports on the BBC, Bangladesh is now on high alert following the outbreak in the north of the country.

Already about 150 cattle have been killed by the disease - the largest outbreak in the country's history.

The BBC report says that the government has ordered a cull of all sick animals, but there are concerns that the disease has already spread to other districts.

The government has distributed 500,000 doses of vaccine in a bid to control the disease and it has ordered officials and health workers to search for sick animals so that they can be culled.
