Better Returns From On-Farm Investment
UK - 'Red Meat - The Challenges and Opportunities' a conference free to all EBLEX levy payers, will give producers a unique insight into how they can increase their returns in the light of changes to the supply chain caused by global trade, regulations and demand pressure.This one-day event, which is free to EBLEX levy payers, will take place at the Chesford Grange Hotel, Kenilworth, on 20th October 2009.
The conference speakers will include international industry experts who will talk about production methods in their own countries and how they view the UK marketplace. Among these will be John Mabb, UK Market Manager for Meat & Wool New Zealand, and Professor Marcia Dutra de Barcellos, from the University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
Also speaking will be EBLEX Head of R&D Dr Duncan Pullar, who will address the issue of how producers can lessen their environmental impact while improving their returns, ahead of the launch of the organisation’s own environmental roadmap. AHDB Economics and Policy Manager Mark Topliff will reveal the industry’s latest performance benchmark figures.
