BGN 1 Million for Bulgarian Beef

BEEF - BGN 1 million has been allocated to State Agriculture Fund in 2008 to assist beef cattle farms that do not have a milk quota, Minister of Agriculture and Food Valeri Tsvetanov said at a meeting with farmers, Focus News Agency informed.

According to ifocus, the single assistance for a cow is BGN 100, while for a sheep – BGN 20.

The minister did not specify the amount of government aid he had asked for stockbreeders for 2009, but highlighted the sum protected their interests.
