Beef Industry Urged To Cut Production Costs
QUEENSLAND - More than 650 producers have filled Meat and Livestock Australia's national beef industry forum at a property near Rockhampton in Queensland today.It's a prelude to MLA's annual general meeting tomorrow.
Association chairman Don Heatly says the industry can't control the weather or the value of the dollar, but it must take control of costs.
"Here are things that you can do to imrpove your business, take home some messages and put them to work", he says.
"We're just looking at all the practical that we may or may not be able to do.
