Roberts named NBA chairman

Roberts is originally from a farming family in Hertfordshire.

He is well known throughout the industry for his efforts with the Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to find a replacement for the "over 30 months" scheme last year. This allowed beef from older cattle to enter the food chain once again.

Duff Burrell, chairman of the NBA, said: "It was always going to be a tough call to replace Robert Forster, but we have got the right man.
