Beef exports to Korea reached a new monthly record of 16,442 tonnes swt, 65% above November last year. Demand from Korea for Australian beef has been very strong this year, particularly with the continued absence of US product. Similarly, very strong demand in Japan led to the second highest volume shipped for any month and the highest November on record at 41,398 tonnes swt, 13% up on November 2005.

According to the DAFF, beef exports to the US were 26,312 tonnes swt, 2% above November last year, while shipments to Taiwan were slightly lower than the same month last year, at 2,934 tonnes swt.
