Beef goes on show in Poland

UK - British sheep and beef cattle caught the eyes of a stream of potential buyers on the British Livestock stand at the Polagra Show in Poland.

With the English Beef and Lamb Executive one of the major sponsors of the stand, British livestock, in the shape of Limousin cattle, appeared on display for only the second time since a ban on live cattle exports from Britain was lifted this year.

More than a score of British companies joined forces on the stand.

Eblex export manager Jean-Pierre Garnier said: "We were delighted at the high level of interest our area received.
