Cattle operation ties for 10th place in Angus registrations

Way View recorded 64 head of Angus with the American Angus AssociationSM during fiscal year 2006, which ended Sept. 30, said John Crouch, executive vice president of the American Angus Association.
Angus breeders across the nation in 2006 registered 347,572 head of Angus cattle compared to 324,266 in fiscal 2005.
"The year-end statistics, with an increase of more than 7 percent from a year ago, indicate a strong demand for Angus genetics in commercial herds as producers continue to focus on end-product quality and its effect on their bottom line," Crouch said.
