US sees farm aid, China soybean deals within weeks
Rollins signals announcements soon but releases no details
US Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins on Monday said the Trump administration expected to have deals regarding aid for US farmers and Chinese soybean purchases within the next two weeks, but gave no other details, reported Reuters.
"We'll have an announcement probably in the next week or two on what that's going to look like," the head of the US Department of Agriculture told CNBC, referring to US farmers.
Asked about China's commitments to buy soybeans from the United States, she said: "I know they are inking the deal this week or next week."
