South Korea’s MFG buys 133,000 tonnes of corn in tender

South Korea's Major Feedmill Group (MFG) has purchased an estimated 133,000 tonnes of animal feed corn expected to be sourced from South America in an international tender on Thursday, European traders said.

It was bought in two consignments.

The first consignment of some 67,000 tonnes was bought at an estimated $264.27 a tonne c&f plus an additional $1.25 a tonne surcharge for additional port unloading with trading house CJ International believed to be the seller.

The consignment was for shipment from South America between Aug. 6 and Aug. 25, they said.

The second consignment of some 66,000 tonnes was bought at an estimated $265.49 a tonne c&f plus a $1.50 a tonne surcharge for additional port unloading.

Trading house ADM was believed to be the seller with shipment from South America between Aug. 14 and Sept. 2, they said.
