With a new location venue in Bydgoszcz in northwest Poland, the FERMA livestock trade fair will restart on 25–27 February 2022, after a one year pandemic-related hiatus.

An annual international trade fair for cattle, pigs and poultry producers and breeders in Poland, FERMA is organised by DLG Agrofood Sp., DLG’s (German Agricultural Society) subsidiary in Poland. The trade fair will be held in the BCTW Hall, an event center located northeast of Bydgoszcz, relocating from its previously location in Łódź.

The BCTW Hall in Bydgoszcz offers a series of advantages for visitors and exhibitors due to its size, the availability of parking spaces and its accessible location away from the city centre as well as optimal transport connections for visitors from all regions.

At FERMA 2022, more than 120 exhibitors from Poland and abroad will be presenting a wide range of products for animal husbandry, from genetics to feed and feeding systems, veterinary medicines and preparations, milking robots, equipment for housing and housing construction along with machinery for harvesting and preserving animal feed.

The FERMA trade fair is not just an exhibition consisting of companies. Since its inception over 20 years ago, FERMA has also become a platform for an annual scientific and technical conference. This year, the organizers have invited visitors to participate in discussion panels for pig and cattle breeders.

Dr. Tomasz Schwarz from the University of Agriculture in Krakow will moderate a discussion on "What's better for pig producers, what's better for the environment - is there a conflict of interests?" Martin Ziaja of the Dairy and Milk Producers Association in Poland will join panelists to discuss the implications of the Green Deal for dairy producers.
