Bluetongue Strikes Again For Romanians
ROMANIA – Three cases of Bluetongue virus (BTV) have been confirmed in back yard cattle in Romania following months without any notifications.

Three cattle showed clinical signs of BTV serotype four in Bobulesti in the western region of Botosani near the Moldovan border.
This is the first notification from Romania this year of the same serotype that swept across the Balkans regions in the second half of 2014.
Last year, Romania reported numerous outbreaks as part of a disease episode relating to the whole country between early August and December, although is the first case this year, says the World Organisation for Animal Health.
Measures are in place to minimise livestock movement in a targeted zone around the outbreak.
