New Managing Director Announced for Moredun Scientific

SCOTLAND - John Murray has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Moredun Scientific. He will succeed Professor Willie Donachie who will retire from the company in December.

John is currently Head of Biosafety at Moredun Scientific. He has led the set up and development of the Moredun Scientific biosafety business and has significant experience in working with the global Animal Health Industry in his previous role as Head of Operations.

He graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1984 with a BSc in Agricultural Chemistry he then took a position at the Moredun Research Institute in Edinburgh working on bovine/ovine respiratory vaccines prior to moving to Moredun Scientific.

Professor Peter Wells, Chairman of Moredun Scientific commented: “The board is delighted that John has agreed to become our new Managing Director, he brings a wealth of experience to the role and I look forward to working closely with him.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Willie Donachie for the very significant contribution he has made to Moredun Scientific. Willie and John will work together to ensure a smooth transition when Willie retires in December.”
