Disease control measures are being evaluated to strengthen technical capacities of national veterinary services in the hope of benefiting farmers and consumers.

The project, entitled Economic Evaluation of National Animal Health was described as a means of justifying animal health programmes to the public by Gilberto Real, Animal Health Officer for the World Food and Agriculture Organisation.
