Progress on Conserving Farm Animal Genetic Resources

GLOBAL - The United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has released a short video in which two animal genetics experts discuss the progress being made to conserve farm animal genetic resources for the future.

Irene Hoffmann and Paul Boettcher are two of the animal genetic resources experts in FAO, who support the implementation of the Multi-Year Programme of Work of the Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture.

In a five-minute video, they explain what animal genetic resources are and talk about the Commission's achievements and future priorities in that area.
