December cattle closed 65 higher on the session and up 35 on the day, say CME analysts.

February cattle closed 75 higher on the day with October cattle up 62 cents to $128.05.

The market saw choppy and two-sided trade early in the session today and was trading near unchanged on the day into the mid-session with an inside trading day.

Some long liquidation selling helped to pressure the market early as traders face a lack of solid cash and production information and futures are attempting to hold a significant premium to the cash.

Talk that beef prices jumped near 75 cents late yesterday helped to provide underlying support.
