Eight Cattle Die from Anthrax in Israel
ISRAEL - The Ministry of Agriculture has confirmed that eight cattle have died in Israel from anthrax.
The suckler farm had a herd of 87 breeding animals. After seven died mysteriously, no explanation was found. However, a further animal found dead tested positive to anthrax.
The area also suffered an outbreak of anthrax in 1983. At the time, the herd was moved and sent to another area and treated with penicillin.
