Merial: New Zactran Sizes Now Available
GLOBAL - Merial Animal Health has launched two new bottle sizes of its highly successful Zactran antibiotic; the range now includes not only 100ml and 250ml polypropylene bottles but also a new 50ml bottle.

The product, which is licensed for the treatment and prevention of bovine respiratory disease, has rapidly become a preferred solution for many vets, as it offers fast-acting, longer-lasting treatment.
Fiona MacGillivray, Merial’s Veterinary Adviser, said: “During the housing period, calf pneumonia is a major concern and it is important that producers take all possible measures to try to prevent it. However, if it does occur they should consult their vets and treatment should be administered as soon as possible to avoid long-term damage to the calves’ lungs. Treating with an effective product also helps to stop the disease spreading to the rest of the herd."
The range of bottle sizes for Zactran now provides veterinary surgeons with flexibility with a proven solution to offer their farmers for the treatment and prevention of pneumonia.
