Foot and Mouth Disease Breaks Out in Bulgaria
BULGARIA - The Bulgarian veterinary authorities have reported one new outbreak of foot and mouth disease (FMD) in cattle.The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 7 yesterday, 24 March. According to the report, the outbreak took place in Burgas.
A total of 133 animals were found susceptible to the disease, out of which six cases were identified. All 133 animals were destroyed.
The source of the outbreak remains inconclusive.
