Ms Buck's background includes 17 years working for Inghams Enterprises Pty Limited, the largest Poultry producer in Australia. She has also managed her own business and commenced her career in the banking industry.

Her parents are from the Inverell district, but she spent much of her youth on a small farm outside of Camden NSW. Helping her father with their small number of cattle, fencing, using the Chainsaw and clearing Lantana bushes became all part of growing up.

"I'm looking forward to getting out in the field, meeting the members and attending events on the Angus calendar."

"I have an immense respect for farmers and the enormous amount of work and expertise that goes into producing world class beef for the Australian and Export markets." Ms Buck said.

"Experience in Marketing product from a paddock to plate environment has given me some understanding of farming and the challenges that this may bring.

"I am keen to gain extensive knowledge of the Angus breed."

Peter Parnell, Chief Executive Officer of Angus Australia and team have welcomed Sonya to the Angus family and appreciates she will be working hard in support of the breed and our superior product.

"We wish Geoff a happy retirement and thank him for the wonderful service he has given to our organisation over the last 16 years" said Mr Parnell.
