This is another step confirming DSM’s commitment to expanding its worldwide presence in micronutrient premixes and business development in the Russian Federation.

Following an agreement announced in July 2009, DSM Nutritional Products and Tatenergo have now formalized the terms of cooperation to build a premix plant for Animal Nutrition & Health in the Republic of Tatarstan together. Construction work is due to start immediately; the opening of the plant is scheduled for early 2011.

DSM Nutritional Products’ contribution to the joint venture consists of its broad and long-standing know-how based on the largest premix network in the industry, operating 46 premix plants today. Tatenergo JSC sees the joint venture as a stepping stone into a long-term cooperation with the objective of reaching self-sufficiency in animal feed production for the Republic of Tatarstan as well as for the Russian Federation in general.
