US - Junior Angus members led 134 entries at the 2009 National Western Stock Show’s Junior Angus Heifer Show, January 13 in Denver, Colorado. Kyle Conley, Perkins, Oklahoma, evaluated the females before selecting champions.

Calli Bayer, Ringle, Wis., led the grand champion female. Gambles WB Lady 6047 is a June 2007 daughter of BR Midland and first won intermediate champion honors.
McCurry Blackcap 7018 was named reserve grand champion female. Tess Steckline, Garden Plain, Kan., owns the February 2007 daughter of S A V 8180 Traveler 004. She first claimed junior champion.
