Beef Giant Looks at Expansion

AUSTRALIA - One of the nation's biggest privately-owned beef cattle companies says it is considering buying a stake in fellow beef giant, the Australian Agricultural Company.

Consolidated Pastoral Company owns 17 properies across northern Australia, and is now eyeing off a 43 per cent holding in AAco, being sold off by Futuris.

But CPC's group manager Geoff Warriner, says no decision has been made yet.

"Those decisions are made a fair bit above where I stand, but it's pretty exciting to have a look at it," he says.
