US - The President of the Ontario Cattlemen's Association says he thinks cloning could be good for the beef industry.

As the Food and Drug Administration in the US is telling Americans that eating meat and milk from cloned animals is safe - Ian McKillop says the technology may be useful.

But he says they would have to look to consumers before using it.

He says their priority is to produce safe and nutritious beef but if the consumer preceptions doesn't feel that's happening - there is a problem.
