Japan says more U.S. mad cow cases possible

TOKYO - Japan's Farm Ministry says there is no guarantee that other mad cow cases will not be found in the United States as the two countries prepare for talks this week on lifting a Japanese ban on U.S. beef imports.
Japan, the biggest buyer of U.S. beef, banned imports from the United States last month after the discovery there of a case of the brain wasting illness, properly called bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE).
