2004 budget has funds for twice as many BSE tests

Ag Secretary Ann Veneman told members of the National Cattlemen's Beef Association in Phoenix Thursday that the Bush administration is using emergency funds from the Commodity Credit Corporation to pay for increased testing for bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE or mad cow disease) this year.
