Burger King is introducing The Angus, a flame-grilled burger made from Aberdeen Angus beef.

The product has been certified by the Aberdeen Angus Cattle Society, which is hoping it will widen the market of the traditionally expensive beef and appeal to a younger generation.

David Kisilevsky, Burger King's senior marketing director for North-West Europe, said it was trying to enhance the quality of food on the menu by selling the premium burger.

"With the Aberdeen Angus, we wanted something that was a breakthrough for the hamburger market," he said.
