Aonghas of Kynedor, a young white Highland bull, topped the trade when he sold to M. Lane, Truro, Cornwall. Sired by Laochan 3 of Leys and out of Capleadh 27 of Millerston, the bull had won the best bull calf award at the 2005 Society show in Oban, Argyll, and was consigned by Janet and Chris Whatmore, Lancashire, who were reducing their Murray Cooper fold.

Several cow and calf outfits, from the same vendors attracted pre-sale interest with Una Ruadh 42 of Millerston and her heifer calf, Una Ruadh 1 of Murray Cooper, making 1,380gns when they sold to R.A. Hampton, Keele, Newcastle, Staffordshire.

The same buyer took home Faith of Kipper Lynn, another 2002-born cow, also with a heifer calf at foot by the renowned stock bull, Orison of Culfoich, for 1,320gns.

Another cow from the Murray Cooper fold, Garbh Allt of Kynedor, with a heifer calf at foot by Orison, realised 1,000gns when they were snapped up by D.F. Parkinson, Boscastle, Cornwall.
