Brecon’s 4,700gns call

UK - A top of 4,700gns was achieved at the British Limousin Cattle Society’s show and sale at Brecon.

Earning the day’s top call was Caergynant Alex from Michael Gray’s Fleethill herd, Llandrindod Wells, Powys. This May 2005-born, Maernelodge Sierra son, weighed 775kg on the day and collected the championship prize.

He is out of Fleethill Trish, who was sold as a heifer and then bought by the Fleethill herd suckling Alex as a bull calf. He went to A. Thomas, Knighton, Powys.

Selling at 3,700gns was Ashledge Argonaut, a Goldies Osprey son from A.G. Kirton and Son, Bewdley, Worcestershire. Argonaut went to P. Jones and Co, Brecon.
