Ministers set to relax rules on meat after BSE study

UK - The Government is considering allowing the public to eat meat from cattle aged more than 30 months old for the first time in eight years. Ministers are looking again at the ban after scientists declared it is now safe for the public to eat meat from such animals as fears of BSE spreading to humans recedes.
