The event will be held at the Gaylord Opryland® Resort and Convention Center Nashville, and is hosted by the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, the Cattlemen’s Beef Board, the American National CattleWomen, the National Cattlemen’s Foundation, and Cattle-Fax. The U.S. cattle industry’s largest gathering also includes its largest and finest trade show, featuring more than 250 exhibitors.

The week’s activities kick off on Wednesday, Jan. 31, with Cattlemen’s College® – the industry’s most educational and comprehensive workshop. Producers can choose from eighteen instructional sessions with a wide range of topics, including: navigating the changing business environment, the 2007 Farm Bill, estate and tax planning, maximizing the effectiveness of conservation programs, dealing with drought, branded beef marketing programs, and auction barn selling strategies. Cattlemen will not find a more information-packed day of instruction than this year’s Cattlemen’s College®. It’s one of the best investments a producer can make in the management of a cattle operation.

Registration for Cattlemen’s College® also includes admission to the Cattle-Fax Outlook Seminar on Thursday, Feb. 1. Experts from Cattle-Fax will provide an in-depth look at factors that will impact the cattle market in 2007. Ethanol production, drought, international trade, and beef demand are among the many forces affecting cattlemen’s bottom line. The Outlook Seminar is a great opportunity to find out why Cattle-Fax is one of the most respected names in cattle industry research, information and market analysis.

The convention’s general sessions will also include addresses from very notable keynote speakers. Kevin Freiberg will open the Wednesday afternoon session by highlighting unconventional business practices that have proven successful for some of the world’s most prominent companies. This session will also include an in-depth look at the new Beef Industry Long Range Plan.
