You’re most likely getting sick and tired of the nonstop mudslinging. That’s completely understandable – but don’t worry, it’s all coming to an end Tuesday, November 7.

“The hotly contested 2006 mid-term elections are almost here, and members of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association strongly encourage fellow cattle producers to show up at the polls, and cast your votes for candidates that support our livelihood.

“Washington, D.C., is becoming a town filled with city dwellers. Fewer and fewer members of Congress understand what it’s like to work in agriculture or to own a family farm or ranch. We need to elect more people who understand our way of life and stand up for us on Capitol Hill.

“We can make a difference. There are millions of farmers and ranchers across America, and even though some of us have to travel fairly far to cast our votes, it’s worth the trip. Given the close nature of many of the races, the margins of victory will be slim and every single vote counts.
