Korean market active

AUSTRALIA - The Korean wholesale market was active this week following last week’s holiday.

Despite reports of slower than anticipated retail sales over the Thanksgiving period, beef stocks are believed to be at low levels with strong demand for a number of items, particularly chuck roll and clod products. Wholesale prices were firm to stronger compared with pre-Thanksgiving, with chuck rolls increasing 400 won, to 6500 won/kg, while short rib were quoted at 10,500 won/kg.
