Every roll of wrap sold by manufacturer Volac will count towards a donation to Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer Campaign charities.

Volac's Jeannie Everington said the trend of pink bales was started last year by New Zealand company Trioplast.

She added: “Since many women work within agriculture they wanted to raise awareness of breast cancer in the countryside and what better way to visualise it than with pink bales in the fields?

"We are delighted that Volac has had the opportunity to spearhead pink Topwrap in Britain, and at the same time, enable us to support two of the UK’s leading breast cancer charities.”
