Argentina Reopens to Brazilian Beef

ARGENTINA – Argentina has withdrawn a ban on Brazilian beef in place since 2012, minister of agriculture Katia Abreu announced on Wednesday.

The embargo was in response to an atypical bovine spongiform encephalopathy outbreak which was demonstrated to have “no relationship” to “mad cow disease”, the ministry said in a statement.

Brazil also withdrew embargoes on Argentinian apples, pears and quinces.
