There are still 4,863 suckler farmers to be trained under the scheme and this training must be completed before the end of this year.

Teagasc and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has organised seven regional training sessions which will take place next week, commencing Monday, 8 November. The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food are writing to each farmer informing them of where and when the training sessions are taking place and the importance of attending one of the events. Farmers who fail to complete this training will have to exit the scheme.
