Australian Cattle Producers Warned Of Virus Threat
AUSTRALIA - Biosecurity Queensland in Australia has renewed its call for producers to look out for a virus threatening cattle.

Three-day sickness or bovine ephemeral fever is estimated to cost Australian producers up to $100 million each year. Dr Bruce Hill from Biosecurity Queensland told ABC Rural producers should ensure their cattle have been vaccinated against the virus.
"It's in their dollar interests, it's in their bottom line because they're going to lose valuable animals and their profitability will be affected," Dr Hill said.
"If you have large animals ready for slaughter or for feedlot suddenly dying, I mean it's a huge investment to bring those animals to that particular stage, to have them go down and die."
