Brazilian Beef Back in the USA

BRAZIL - The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), of the United States Department of Agriculture, have authorized the resumption of beef exports from 21 Brazilian meat packing plants.

The ban was put in place on processed meats three weeks ago, after there were discrepancies found in documentation, on shipments of meat arriving in the USA.

The matters now have been resolved and as indicated last week, normal service has been resumed.

Brazil can only export cooked and processed beef to the USA.
