Animal Feed Statistics for Great Britain - March 2015
Key points:
- In March 2015 the total GB retail production of animal feed was up 3.1% compared with March 2014
- In March 2015 the total GB raw material usage in the retail production of animal feed was up 4.3% compared with March 2014, with a slightly lower cereal incorporation rate.
- In March 2015 the total GB integrated poultry feed production was down -0.6% compared with March 2014
For the period January to March 2015 quarterly average prices of animal feedingstuffs were as follows:
- Cattle and calf feed - £215 per Tonne
- Pig feed - £237 per Tonne
- Poultry feed - £242 per Tonne
- Sheep feed - £209 per Tonne
The latest quarter has shown average prices level off after gradually decreasing prices since 2013, quarter two.
