US - Brett Haas, co-owner of Crop Copter, said while they started their UAV company with crop farmers in mind, they see a lot of interest and application for livestock farmers.
Brett Haas, co-owner and sales manager for Crop Copter, speaks to 5m at Ag Media Summit in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA.
"We have gotten a lot of interest, especially as we've moved into bigger livestock areas. The key is general observation - everybody goes out and checks their cows in the morning or when they do chores and having that ability to see the whole herd at once or to see the back corner of the pasture is important," said Haas. "Being able to get that bird's eye view to see what's going on, and if something looks out of place, then we can go and pay attention to it."
Headquartered in central Illinois, USA, Crop Copter is dedicated to designing, building and selling small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), specifically for agricultural use.
