COLOMBIA – Colombia’s traceability drive will be accompanied by a cattle repopulation programme, says a national farm body.
The Institute of Colombian Agriculture (ICA) has distributed 144 animals across 48 holdings in Repelon, Candelaria and Sabanalarga in the Atlantic region.
ICA’s general manager, Luis Humberto Martinez Lacouture, reported that this region, with its 230,000 head of bovines, would be the first to have all stock identified through the new cattle inventory.
